Three years following the release of Way of Life, this final iteration of the group returned to its vocal roots for Real, with a more natural, old-school production style and eschewing the “instrupella” sound of previous albums for the all-vocal sound that first put AVB on the map. Evoking the sounds of those early AVB albums, Real includes “Broken”, the Contemporary Acappella Society of America 2000 Religious Song of the Year.
